Hi there

I found a number of coins in my late grandfather's attic and was wondering if any of them are valuable/what they maybe worth ?

There are 17 of the dollar coins from years 1880,1896,1921,1922,1923,1928

And half dollars from 1944,1963.1964

And a coin with a buffalo on one side and an Indian on the other

None of them are shiny

don't clean them and handle them by the edge only, we need pictures to give you a true value and grade.

Sounds like you inherited a small collection. We have a thread just for people like you.

That may help. We can't grade or value your coins without photographs so please include them. You may have the start of a great hobby. Whatever you do, do not try to clean these coins. It's like stripping apiece of antique furniture, you remove all value when you do that.

If they are not shiny then leave them be. making them shiny would be a very very bad thing.

Better pictures please and one-by-one, each coin both sides (no frame around to make the image as big/clear as possible).

If you have a multifunction printer - scanning works quite well for most coins.

Should check for mint mark on the 1880 and the 1928.
Also is the 1921 the same design as the 1922 or like the 1880.

Yep, works well for most coins - especially if your software gives you options. Glad my suggestion helped.
Now I leave you in the good hands of the experts specialising in US Classic coinage. Hope you start liking coins and increase your collection.
