I have been looking through a box of 1000 Presidential dollars. They are all mint rolls uncirculated coins. I found that every one had the same defect that looks like a die break right by the 1 on the reverse side top of the bottom left . I only have phone to take pictures but it's visible by eye so it got it . It is still not that big. Now since there are so many I assume like this would it be a variety or have any value?

I ask because there are so few varieties listed and I wouldn't know what to do to even get it listed if possible. But I have 1000 of them and they so far are all the same. Any help is appreciated

Which President? It is probably a small clash.

Here is an overlay: It doesn't match a clash on that area? Even on the bottom nothing matches? Must be a die gouge.

Thanks so much I was hoping you would show an overlay cause by eye it was looking like that one hair might do it but it's not close as I thought. So die gouge I'm guessing at some point foreign material got in there and gouged it? Or idk . I'm half way through 1000 so I will update if they get dramatically worse or not but they are all the same so far but every once in a blue moon I have come across a couple with no mark at all. I'm guessing maybe those just aren't as strong a hit from the die? What's your opinion? Worth having it looked at ?

Could it be possible to have a die trail from just one device?

The fields are the outside edge of the die. So while handling the die, it could be bumped/dropped/scratched/contact with another die/polished and it would affect the fields. The devices are deeper into the die and not be affected. Trails would be consistent with the design. Usually in one direction, but they radiate from a set of devices. The stronger examples would be shown more interest like the last set of images. But again they usually start at a device and flow in the a direction. (Some examples may show two directions but not common for this to happen.)

Images always describe things better than words. The term: "A picture is worth a thousand words" is so true.
