The first CC, is that a variety (specifically looking at the location/style of the mintmarks)?

The reverse on the second Morgan looks like it may have started out as PL the obverse less PL

I've started posting photos with different angles of light, that while perhaps not showing as well some of the detail, they do show you better what the coin looks like in hand. Here are a few of these coins. The angle of the light makes the scratches show more than they do in person, but I think you get a better sense of the lustre this way. Coin 1:   Coin 2:
