Welcome to CCF ! Looks like your coin may have been Gold Plated, it has rubbed off, leaving gold shadow around the letters, Lincoln may have gold in his ear, leaving a gold hearing aid ! Looks like this coin is in good shape, but lets see what our seasoned members will inform us on this coin. I collect only Lincolns and have a coin collection for just these coins, as well as other varieties. Have fun here with us. Happy collecting !

Is there something in particular you see that is making you wonder about its rarity and value? From what I can see in your picture it looks like a normal cent that has been in circulation. The "shinny" parts on the coin are what are left of the original surface that hasn't been removed from being circulated.

Coin has original surfaces; not gold plated.

Copper value is all I can see on your coin. You can get these in rolls at coin shows.
