I'll play! Here is the lowest mintage coin in the Roosevelt dime series coming in at 12,450,181 minted. I promise this coin looks a lot better in person, my photography skills are poor.   This is the first time I've posted in a "How Far Back Can we Go" thread, and I hope to participate more frequently!

Another 1950s Japanese coin. The first 50 Yen coin. Pure nickel 5.5g 25mm. Chrysanthemum. Showa 30 = 1955.

I have seen that coin before, going through local coin shops. For some reason it never clicked what it was. I like coins that have a good historical event connection.
Have to pick one up, next time one comes through.
