US Mint Shipped UPS Instead Of Postal Service?

muddler Pillar of the Community United States 7187 Posts	Posted 01/21/2015 3:04 pm So after 2 attempts for delivery and an unsuccessful attempt to pick up I finally was able to pick up my 2015 proof ASE from UPS. I had signed their delivery slip and told them to leave it at the door but the second delivery stated there must be a signature upon delivery. UPS delivery's to my home are unrealistic between 3-5 on week days. Hello I work for a living. I call their 1-800 # and find I now must pick it up at their distribution center 20 miles away, he gave me the address so I dropped by at 9:30 AM before going to work and find they only take customer service from 3-6 Monday to Friday. Would have been nice to know when I called. I take time off from work to pick up the package. What an incredible hassle to get a coin that I have received from the US mail delivered to my home each year for the last 20 years. No wonder the postal service is going broke even the US government doesn't use them. Report this Post to the Staff

Adult signature required, at least the UPS driver for my route calls you to let you know he's outside the gate waiting with a package. Don't know why the mint changed it and took usps out of the picture. Don't know if it's everywhere. Report this Post to the Staff
