I like both of these. Especially the Reverse '71. It looks like the strike (by AM) flattened the rim.

They become collectable when the devices fall over the edge of the devices. They are more interesting then. Note the reverses get weak on the areas where the die is not striking the coin fully?

Both are MAD, the first one is interesting because both dies are mis-aligned and in the same direction. (Assuming the coin was struck in the collar and it isn't an uncentered broadstrike.)

Ahh thanks that's what I was wondering because I saw the double rim on the reverse also---nice example.

If you still have this coin, I know it's been a while, you might check the diameter of it compared with another cent. It almost looks like a "Wide Collar" to me.

To add to what coop said: They also become more collectable/valuable when they have the date/MM vs. a dateless MAD in extreme circumstances

it's always nice to know where and when the coin was made.

Ok so I did actually locate both of these and they are the same diameter as other cents...was a good point though as I can't recall if I checked that at the time thanks

Well, now we know! Sometimes the difference is so minute that the only time people catch it is when they won't fit in a coin tube.
