Finally found a 1919!

I think this is one of my favorite series of coins, domestic or darkside. It's a very beautiful design, IMO.

Does anybody else collect these? Also, does anyone here own any of the super rare post 1922 issues?

Hi matttheriley, I've always liked this design too. I have 1908-13 and 1920-1, They've all been picked up in junk boxes over the years and aren't as nice as yours!

Nice set. Congrats on completing the set. I only have the 1920.

Congrats, very nice set. Have a few of these but not the complete series (and not as nice in average as yours).
Hope you will have the chance to pick one of the later dates up.

Btw, it's the US coins which are from the dark side.

Nice set of all of the gettable dates.
Krause says 1926 to 1935 inclusive are all rare and very pricey, mintage as few as 50 pieces per date.

I am a bloke, and I rather like the reverse design!

I have/have had most of the regular series of these, difficult coin to grade, many AU's look better than UNCs

Back in 1977 I picked up 2 AU 1919 pieces in a 25 cent junk box. I was happy.

A beautiful coin design and you've got a nice looking collection!

Would you educate me on the origin/intent of the design? Why flying? Is there some national heritage or other allegorical reason for this depiction?

Matthew, it's all of the coins from the world's mints that have any nudity including the SLQ T1, the Libertad, ect. Basically anything with the female form that if seen on the US coinage today we would have quite the uproar. :) Broad terms, I know. I was inspired by this coin and the Libertad that I already have to develop this collection.

Oh, I'm not. I've just never given the collection any real thought prior to seeing this coin collection. I've now been looking and have found several that can be added in.

The list goes on. Of course now that I've looked into it enough, I'm committed to picking up at least enough to say that I have a Naughty Bits Collection.

I'm sorry if I'm highjacking here. That was not my intention.
