I figure it's PMD but was thinking-wouldn't the copper playing be removed on PMD like this? Seems pretty deep but have no idea so that's why I'm asking...thanks!

Plating I meant...seemed like an odd hit and don't see metal pushed to the sides...
Rest in Peace

I thinks it's PMD, too. I see a little bit of raised copper around the damage.

Is it copper plated in the ding? If so, I'm figuring it's an error since the plating is only 2 microns thick, and that ding looks like it should be A LOT deeper than that.

That ding is definitely pretty deep and is copper plated-I don't see any of the copper missing in that area-will upload rev pics when the error clears up

The top left of the error is not metal pushed up it is part of the incuse ding-just a little blurry-and don't know if it means anything but the edges of this ding are very sharp and clean even more so than the pictures show...

Here is an over lay to see where the reverse might be affected:

I see no bulge on the reverse. So I'm thinking this is a struck through a foreign object. Possibly wooden making the lower area like something having a weakness in that area.
