I think it is kind of neat to see the original bag together with the errors that came out of the bag. I wish I could get my hands on some cent bags without having to pay the $400 or $500 that people seem to ask these days.

I question the seller's tactics.

COIN 1: It does appear to be a clip but so minor that most collectors would not pay a premium for it.

COIN 2: Since the reverse die is labeled as "misaligned" how come it's not shown.

COIN 3: "Cameo" might be correct for the obverse but for the coin to earn that label BOTH sides must be cameo. Note the reverse is not shown (nor is any of them).

I suspect that the photo of the reverses was forgotten....

It is the combination of the bag and the coins that I think is interesting. The coins themselves would not normally get a whole lot of attention.

It's a neat idea and a way to salvage a destroyed bag. The errors are minor, but still errors and connected to the bag. I could see someone wanting to add this to their collection.

I think its a very collectable piece of canvas swatch, still sealed, and certainly not so much the 3 nickels but they did come with the bag. Its also Centennial.

Nope - not so with Canadian standards, especially with business strikes. It is always the obverse that is commented for cameo designations.

I'll ignore your question on tactics... it is a 99-cent, no reserve auction after all...

Fun! this is what makes the hobby. How would you grade the canvas swatch? I am betting it is at least LS-50, CB-30 with cuts and detractions.................LEAD SEAL 50 CANVAS BAG 30. !! In all seriousness if that was part of a Peace dollar or Morgan bag it would bring stupid money from a collector somewhere.
