I found 3 of these in the roll of 1972 Cents I am looking through. 2 have the marks above the date, while 1 has stronger marks above the date and LIBERTY (both sides of Lincoln)

(Liberty is Doubled)

Is this a Die Clash?
Value? is there a premium attached to this?

(Look at those Die Polish lines)

It's a die clash, very modest premium value - maybe a dollar. They are common.

Like Chuck said they are common. Still nice to find.

atleast you knew what you were looking at when you saw it, thats what makes it more exciting when you actually see something like that, the fact that you know you are getting more knowledgeable on what certain things look like and what causes them. For example instead of just asking what in the world happened to this Lincoln Cent you looked at it and already thought "hey that looks like a clashed die to me" and just came here to get confirmation instead of just asking what caused it

I thank everyone here, it is this web site that has given me the current knowdge of whats happening in the Coin World. I had no idea what a VAM was or that they even existed, until reading about them here. I just restarted the "habit" about a year ago, after I inherited a few coins. I broke out my coins that I had collected years age, and now I get to go through them again.

Thanks Everyone
