Maybe his middle name is 'Tesla". Where did this reference to Dr Coil come up? I'd never heard of it.

Are we having a stamp discussion on the coin forum? A coil doctor was sent to prison wayyyyyyyy back when in BC for forging OHMS and G Canadian stamps in the 1980's. I heard he is now a numismatic consultant for "The Big Tree Money Company" famous for the Chinese coin counterfeiting now prevalent. ! !

I think this thread stems from a previous comment on another thread: Quote: If anyone wants an in depth analysis by Dr. Coil on Canadian Tokens send me an E-Mail. Perhaps the one in the quote and the one pacific are talking about are one in the same.. perhaps not... I have no idea... But the file sent was a fantastic read...!

Dr. Coil has an interest in Canadian Colonial tokens. I am not sure what his present ambitions are. Dr. Coil contacted me concerning my cross-referencing work on tokens by Breton, McLachan, Batty, Lees, Courteau, Gibbs, Sandham, etal, attributions. Apparently we were both working independently on the same subject. Shortly upon answering his questions I discovered the material submitted and published in Charlton's and he was given full credit for the work. Upon completion, I was intending to submit my work to Charlton's, but Dr. Coil submitted his work first. The cross-reference section is in the back of Charlton's.
