Since CAC no longer accepts colonial coins.
See http://www.coinweek.com/education/c...rtification/

Will colonials with CAC stickers become highly coveted (like the old PCGS Regency or Doily holders?).

I hope not.

The copper community seems to be less interested in slabbed coins than other niches in numismatics. I for one would pay right around $0.00 over the coins raw value for a little green sticker, or a slab for that matter.

That green bean will not tone well.

Scott.

The only colonial I have with a CAC sticker is silver and probably is done toning after over 350 years!

Now I want to see the coin itself.

Here you go. The best centered 1652 Mass 3-pence I have ever seen. That's why I bought it. Apparently CAC liked it too, when they were putting stickers on them. Scratches are on holder, not coin.

I remember being 12 years old and looking through the RedBook at the Pine Tree coinage and thinking "One day......" Well, I still don't have one over 30 years later. Maybe one day.....

Well, if the TPG's have no idea how to properly grade Colonials, I don't see how CAC could find them choice for grade.
I one can care less about a green bean on slabbed coins.
