Guys,

I've put together a video detailing everything we know about the forthcoming March of Dimes Special Silver Set. Confirmation of the set's existence came late Friday.

This will be something that you may want to keep track of because it is the first time that the Mint will produce a W-Mint silver proof dime and the P-Mint reverse proof.

No word on set limits....

I'm going to get as many more details as I can on Monday.

Charles

I will definitely be getting this set. I love the silver dollar design. The two unique dimes are a plus.

I agree. This will be a cool set. Better to get this directly from the Mint than on the secondary market- especially given the inclusion of the RP dime.

Dumb question but is there a link to the official mint store where this will be sold? Any guesses on the asking price?

I'd like to see a gold dime. I'd be able to afford that one. I think it would look pretty good too.

Thanks for the info! Let's keep on top of this one, so we don't have
another fiasco like the 2014 SP Native dollar coin and currency set!
What a cluster it becomes when people don't find out about a mint set
until it's half way sold out. Only the US govt could screw up a sell out.

Oh, and from what I can tell, I believe the dimes are coming with a PROOF dollar.
Personally I'd prefer an Unc dollar as well, but we rarely get exactly what we
want when it comes to the US Mint. They are improving some though...

I like the look of the Unc dollars better, but since the other 2 coins are proofs, I can see why they are going that route.

You will get a gold dime next year. It won't be Roosevelt, though. It will be Mercury! I may have to get it too.

In another thread I said I was eyeballing this set. After watching the video I have now added to my must have list. Charles should get a commission of the sale.

Thanks for the video Charles! The reverse proof looks a little too dark to me which makes it look strange. Have you seen this coin up close? Does it look that dark in person?

If only they would use the original 1946 higher-relief portrait...

*sigh*
