Just picked this up from an antique market. It is stamped on the bank and has an embossed seal. I'm not sure if this is a note or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Looks cool.

I have checked out the Kraus catalogs I have and could not find anything. I can give you a small hint to help with the search - the thing above the flags is called Toughra, it can help you identify which Sultan it was - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tughra

From the scan it looks like it was Abdul Hamid II - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdul_Hamid_II

Maybe someone that can read Arabic could help more.

The symbol below the Toughra was adopted by the Ottoman Empire in 1882.
That'a all I can offer I'm afraid.

Looks more like a certificate of some kind than a banknote. I'm not seeing the Arabic or Persian characters for a denomination.

Thank you all for the help. It does appear to be more of a bond of some sorts rather than bank note. Hopefully someone will be able to translate the text.
