There are many low mintage Commemorative UNC silver dollar in the modern commemorative series. To me these are the top four 1996D XXVI Olympiad, Paralympics (wheelchair) silver dollar mintage 14,497 1996D XXVI Olympiad, High Jump mintage 15,697 1996D XXVI Olympiad, Tennis mintage 15,983 1996D XXVI Olympiad, Rowing mintage 16,258 All have the same reverse design

thanks, it was stuck in my dealers case for over a year, they bought a lot of dollars and there were a few 1947s 2 or 3 of which came back from ICCS as 64s. they wanted to get rid if it so I got it for $900 Canadian.
im surprised there's so many moderns on this thread.

Quote: im surprised there's so many moderns on this thread. I do collect a little of everything. For me getting the modern key date coins, will be good to pass down to future generations. Some of them may be a little expensive now, but it should be better that having to pay more for them 20 years form now.

very true, all of your Olympic dollars you posted are lower mintages than the 1948 dollar. now consider that the '48 dollar with a mintage of 18,780 is considered super rare in Canada than imagine how rare a 1996D XXVI Olympiad, Paralympics (wheelchair) silver dollar with a mintage of 14,497 will be in 20 years.

Here are some examples of modern key date coins that are not to expensive now, $10 to $20. The trick here is that there is a port for this coin in the Roosevelt with/proof Dansco. To me it is the key to the clad Roosevelt set. 1997W Roosevelt dimemintage 1,457,000
