Fuzzy photo, suspicious coin, seller with "2" feedback and no returns. An awfully well-struck obverse for a "No D".

Sold for $443.

Awfully suspicious but looks ok to me. Surprised someone would pay that much with the bad pics and not being certified.

It's a fake. It is way too strongly struck to be a 1922 plain. The coat details are complete, and "In God We Trust" isn't mushy like it should be.

Clearly a fake, the date is also wrong and so is the LIBERTY. I'm not kidding you when I say there is almost a new one of these fake 1922 listings every day. Unless you know what you are doing, never buy these raw.

It's a fake.

Even if it was Die Pair 2 (with the stronger obverse), the first two words in the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" would be very mushy.
Also, the "L" in "LIBERTY" would be merging into the rim and mushy as well.

And that's just the first two things I noticed!

I have a 22-D with a vary weak D. If I took a fuzzy photo of it like this guy, it would probably fool the rubes. Who on earth would pay that kind of money for a coin with such fuzzy pics.

Here you have a coin worth a few hundred dollars and you have an AWFUL photo. I would not even give this one a second glance. One rule of thumb to remember - which I why I say this is a genuine phoney - all 1922 Plain's should have some trace of the "D" mintmark visible.

Not exactly. Check out Lincolncentresource and read a little about the 4 die pairs. There are some without any trace of a D.
