I agree that's an N-23. Here's a pick from Goldberg Auctions. http://www.goldbergcoins.com/view-a...7/lot/20581/ The 8 isn't close enough to the bust to be an N-17 and the point of the curl is too far right to be an N-21 or N-22. The left edge of the 1 being over the left side of the nearest denticle is the clincher. I'll say F-12 sharpness with no major problems to net grade the coin down for except maybe the color. You'll have to see how it looks in hand. 1852 N-23 R.6 12/12.
