I try to keep some cash on me in case a good deal is
offered to me. Today I came across these two Indians.

1909-And-1925-D-$2.50-Indians

I think I am starting to like $2.50 gold coins.
They seem to fall into my comfort level, as far as coin
prices.

1909-And-1925-D-$2.50-Indians

I have no idea where my collection focus should be going, but I do like $2.50 gold. Even when I got home and saw I had a 1925 D, I don't feel bad for getting another. I may be able to use it for trade, if another date comes along. Not sure if I want to look at my type set, can't remember what the date of the one there is.
Rest in Peace

There is no such thing as too much gold! Nice purchase, and as you noted you can probably flip the duplicate for a different date at some point!
Rest in Peace

I got lucky ...the one in my type set is a 1929.

For a short set, I guess I am off to a good start

Edit ... I guess it is time to keep a list .....

What kind of cell phone do you have?

There's an app for that.

I like them except for being the size of a dime. I tend to lose small coins.

I try not to carry them as change very often ..

As small as the $2.50's are .. I have to wonder how many
gold $1.00 were lost.

Just for fun, while back, I took some pictures that try
to show the size difference of different denomination coins.

I like to carry coins. I'll buy cheap type coins that are heavily worn or polished just to throw in my pocket. I lost a beat-up 1856-s half eagle doing that, so I'm more careful. But not too careful...to avoid losing coins I now stick with quarter size or larger.
