Hello all. Has anyone purchased albums from either Danscoalbumstore.com or Desertdansco.com? Desertdansco seems to be less expensive but the site looks a little outdated. Danscoalbumstore seems to be just about on-par with ebay pricing. Wizard has a few albums but $10 flat shipping kills the value unless you're buying multiple items. Are there other retailers out there I'm overlooking? I lucked out & got a 7070 from a LCS for $20. Now I'd like to get the 7100, but would like to avoid paying $30+ if possible. Thanks.

I like Wizard. You are right, flat shipping is better when you have a few more items to buy.

CoinSupplyExpress. Hopefully spelled correct. I've found faster and cheaper than most places.

I have used the site Carl mentioned. I have had good results from them and I would recommend them.

I have also used Wizard and am happy with the service.
If you're looking for very inexpensive albums, try a coin show or LCS. They usually have used albums for very cheap because people sell them full albums, then the LCS or dealer breaks out all the coins to sell individually.
This thread probably belongs in the Supplies forum, by the way.

I've been very pleased with coin supply express as well. 5 dollar shipping or thereabouts. Sometimes they have deals if you buy multiple danscos?

Thanks for the leads guys. I was gonna put the thread in this subforum initially, but gave it a second thought due to the question being about merchants. I shot a eBayer a best offer & he counter offered. After shipping it's about $31.50
Still a couple bucks less than anything else I can find without going to Whitman. Why do Dansco's have to be so darn elegant? LOL

Again, check your LCS/Coin Show for inexpensive, quality albums in good shape.
Now, also consider what's going into the albums. I suspect and hope that the money spent on what you're putting into them will far surpass the cost of the album itself. Occasionally one coin will be many times more expensive than the album itself. Don't skimp -- do what's right for the coins and your collection and you'll be happy every time you open it up for yourself or share it with someone else.

If I ever hope to fill the 1909-S hole, The album cost will be trumped in Spades. I visited the LCS today & there were (2) 7100's with various cents in them. The albums themselves were in pretty beat-up shape with pages missing & other pages added. I went ahead & accepted the ebay counter offer (New shrink-wrapped w/8 pages) 1909-2009. I did pluck a Steel-S cent from one of the LCS albums & a nice S-toner...don't recall the year. I CRH Lincoln's & some nicer S-mints are difficult to "find" in XF+ CRH'ing.

I have purchased a few from Jake's on ebay seems the better deal was on ebay rather than their website, not on everything mind you, just need to win items at a low bid with low shipping. I saved around $12 vs. buying exactly the same Dansco pages off their website.
