1983 Kennedy Half Dollar Proof? Silver?

acidic1 Pillar of the Community United States 632 Posts	Posted 10/03/2007 1:46 pm I was going though a couple of rolls of Kennedy half dollars and I came across this weird one. It looks like a proof, the edge is solid silver across, Its a P mint 1983 which says its NOT a proof and also its stamped. Has anybody come across something like this?. Report this Post to the Staff

This would have been the 20th anniversary of his assassination. Yours dated 1960-1980 is the 20th anniversary of his election. Report this Post to the Staff

gatzdon Valued Member United States 280 Posts	Posted 10/03/2007 4:35 pm I have about a half roll now of these found from searching rolls (these aren't what I'm searching for, but I keep them as I find them). They commemorate some aspect of Kennedy, be it his election, assasination, or whatever. I figure when I get a full roll, maybe I'll list them on ebay for $10 plus shipping.
