This is one area I do not know much about.
What are the guidelines etc. ?
I have a few from slight to severe.
Areas only around date and MM, to peeling off from the rim on up.
Will post pics. when I can get my closeups better :)

No, not really
more like cracks that are lifting
around dates profiles etc. and one is more like peeling
of the copper plating from edge of rim and in.
Mostly on newer date cents. I'm assuming the error would only be if it was done during the die process. Other cracking, peeling or lifting
of the lam. could be just post damage ? I know this pic. is small
but it shows around date and mm. On this coin also, one crack that starts right at lincolns forehead (hairline)and follows contour of face all the way down to chin. On another (i will get pic.)severe lifting (peeling) of lam. from bottom of obv. rim and up. You can still see lettering on planchet underneath

Your coin appears to be a split in the plating , and the beginnings of corrosion of the zinc core.It is very common on the plated zinc cents for this type of thing to happen.

it can range from minimal like your coin to extremely severe like this coin .

Lincoln-Lamination-Errors-Or-Not-?

coins such as this are not lamination errors.

Metalman is right, you are looking at rot in places where the plating is damaged. The strike itself can actually move the plating around and cause the breaks in the plating. On a less circulated coin, with less rot, you can often see the zinc core inside the breaks of the plating.

I guess they just don't make em like they used to.
Have found many that are just lifting off (copper)
In less than 50 yrs. there will probably be a lot of zinc.
cores in circ. with some of the punch still visible.
If they last that long :) Might be interesting reading in error
coin forums by that time :) I found this old penny, looks like a very old 1984 but not sure what it is made of ?

At first look I thought this one was a coin that someone pressed into the Obverse and rolled it across the coin.

But looking closer you can see where the copper fell off the shoulder and forehead.

Interesting how the missing copper fell out only inside the stripe.
Does the rim and lettering damage coincide with that area ?
I would of never figured that one out. Noticed a raised area right under the nose also.
