Love the Seinfeld reference....

At the very least the quality of the pictures is too poor to make a good call, imo. Except the 3rd auction, but that coin is just a mess.

Certainly not worth spending money on.

It's also nice how the third auction lists the 'Mint Location' as Dahlonega, Georgia.

Good thing it was not the whole scene, we would have to yank it.

I found one a few weeks ago, it wasn't in the best shape though.

I've gone through THOUSANDS of dollars worth of nickels and that was the final one for my jeff set.

Yeah, I'm glad this was to the point

And yet another fake appears today. This guy sells a lot of the fake 1922s. 100% fake, no obverse die markers. I'll report it, but nothing will be done as usual.

I still remember as a kid erasing the D on lots of 1922 Pennies. So many things we did as kids. Copper dipping 1943's, removing part of the 4 to make 1914D ones too. And melting Pennies was always fun.

Yes, L in LIBERTY should be melded into rim. Should be mushy WE and sharper TRUST, and second 2 nearer to rim should be sharper than other 2.

Go to lincolncentresourse, and the 4 different dies are fairly simply explained.

Could probably keep this thread going ad nauseum...

This one looks like a modern cast copy, not exactly sure, but it's definitely fake.

I sent the seller a nice message on the previous one, referring them to lincolncentresource, and they took down the listing
