Okay so I am almost certain this is a real off center, sure it is not the best and only by a small degree, but the rim is doubled and not sure if this is considered doubling or not. what you guys think?

Looks normal with maybe a minor collar clash. But no premium for this.

Hi AT. Can you take a picture of the full coin? The closeups aren't goving perspective for me. I'm suspecting MAD but without a picture of the reverse we won't be able to comment on the coin being offcenter.

Misaligned Die (MAD)
The obverse is a bit off; the reverse looks normal.
Generally, there's no premium for these unless some of the devices are missing. I'd keep this one anyway -- until I found a better one!

Glad you're pleased but.... it happens so often on coins (take a look at your dimes some day) that most error collectors wouldn't consider it an error coin. It is within manufacturing tolerance in that it will work in machines etc. However, the same can be said of die chips and a lot of other things that people collect as well.
So if you like it, enjoy! Don't expect it to ever be worth more than five cents.
Personally, I DO keep stuff like that -- amd I will continue to do so until it becomes inconvenient. But as I find better examples, some of my little collection gets returned to the wild. I have yet to find a really good error coin in my change -- but I think the hunting is fun just the same.

awe I could have done without knowing that... But the value, money wise, is not the main reason I'm collecting. still that was a bummer as this was my first find after searching a while, other then my collection of wheat pennies. But Thank you for informing of that fact as it is helpful.

@AT214,Minor Collar Clash not bad,yes common. Do u have Flips and Tubes to put your Cents in? If not you should get some. When you go after another search. Get 10 to 30 rolls of Cents. Few items I think you can find at this point.
This is for Cents Only
I search Denver Mint as I am from CA West Coast
1.RPM's,now Split Plating is common on Zinc Cents which is not a RPM but when you see this a few times you will be able to see the difference I think. RPM's are 1989 back for Cents or Pre 1990 not 1990 up. Take a look at CopperCoins site, start with the 1989 D take a look get well known with the 1989 D RPM's.
2.Class 9 Doubled Die
This you will find next to on either column next to Lincoln sitting in his chair. Some Class 9 Doubled Die's are Lincoln's Knee and other place on the REV and OBV sides on the Cent.
I think you will find the Class 9 Double Die up the side of the 2 columns the best. Odds are you will find one.
Again look at the columns next to Lincoln sometimes extra columns are on other columns but first look at either column next to Lincoln,I am drilling you just want you to focus on those to columns first.
Dates to find these Class 9 Doubled Die Extra Columns for:
Denver Mint---/Not all I am going to list are on CopperCoins
Level 1 thur 10 on toughness to Find/ 1 Hardest -- 10 Easy
Levels are base on how many are out there, from what I can tell searching
1990 D 1 1991 D 1 1995 D 2 1996 D 6 1997 D 8 1998 D 7 1999 D 7 2000 D 4 2001 D 2 2002 D 5 2003 D 5 2004 D 6 2005 D 1 2006 D 5 2007 D 1 2008 D 7
This list as well can be use for
Philadelphia Mint as well-
P Mint Class 9 Doubled Die Extra Columns are much easier to find then D Mint Class 9 Doubled Die Extra Columns
Again go look at CopperCoins site for images of the Class 9 Doubled Die Extra Columns
Good luck let me know when u find one or some.

@AT214,I tried to e-mail from the site this info but you do take e-mails so I have posted above what I think you will need to find some RPM's Cents and Doubled Die Cents. I use a 40x when searching but I can find the items above with a 16x. If it helps others great. Good Luck and Open Eyes.

Oh man you have no idea how helpful this is, I went through then last set tonight, until I get more tomorrow, but I have a lot of those dates and to be honest I thought those columns were suppose to be there. Just assumed it was still in good condition so I seen it in depth. but I did find one that has extra columns on all the columns, which is why I assumed what I stated. geez that means I have to dig through my "spend pile" to find them. yay! more hunting for me I thought I checked to approve e-mails.... huh
