Hi we received this coin in our change from Tim Horton's. looks like some kind of error.

is this a legit error?
any idea of the value?

Looks interesting, can you post a shot of the other side? also is it possible to edit out all the background, which should make the image larger?

could be a garage job, 3 coins put into a vise, or it might be legit.

detailed close ups of each side are needed but this looks promising, I don't think its a vise job because the details appear raised and not backwards.

this thing is so strange, it reminds me of a very late stage die cap. perhaps if it is struck from a die cap the die cap was some how indented by struck coins? it reminded me of thishttp://www.georgemanzcoins.com/imag...eloon421.jpg

I see a second DG REG, suggesting it was struck twice. Through a very thin die cap perhaps?

I agree with dollarman, it's a very weird-looking coin.

This looks just like zonad's half dollar accept whatever happened to it happened more than once, anyone have a link to zonad's?
