I don't know paper currency that well but I don't see anything especially unique. However, I have a bad habit of keeping anything and everything that I find interesting. So if you find them at all interesting, hang onto them.

Nothing special by my lights, but I would love to have the first $20 to play liars poker with. Jim

What do you think is special about them? Is it because their seriel numbers all have "good hands?"

What do you mean by "good hands"? Is that going back to the poker reference? I've never heard of liar's poker before this post.
I kept them because... The first bill has two of each number. The 9s mess things up a bit. If the 9s were together would it be a collector's item?
The second bill I kept because of the twos. I know the ultimate goal is to get a bill with the same number all the way through but I wondered if this would be worth saving also.
The third bill I was thinking the same as the second bill. Would that many threes on a bill be something to keep?
The fourth bill was kind of a pattern note. My question with this is what types of patterns are worth keeping?
I'm not huge on bills yet but I think they're interesting. I'm just trying to educate myself on what to keep and what to put back.

Here is what I would do, just based on my interest, not any official standard of collectibility:
#1 is a horseshoe note - close but no cigar. If the 9's were together, most def I would keep it. Throwback. #2 is 4/8 repeater note - not too remarkable, borderline keeper, well worn, I would probably throw it back. #3 is 5/8 repeater note - nice condition, I would keep this one. #4 is a throwback
Just my humble opinion. A dealer or experienced note collector might think they are all silly to keep. So what. If you enjoy them, keep them all. You can always spend them later.

Well here is what I keep as far as notes 1) Star notes - BB00151520* 2) Consecutive serial numbers - FB41183873B , FB41183874B 3) Any $2 bill I see, just because I like them 4) Low serial numbers - A00000032B 5) Repeating numbers - F46246278 These are just examples of the notes I look for and I keep them reguardless of condition.

I found these recently, and decided I liked them well enough to keep: So tell me what you think. IMHO, #1 is a definite keeper. I got it last week at Shaw's supermarket and showed it off to my wife right away. She rolled her eyes. #2 is a keeper. #3 has some nice symmetry #4 is weakly interesting, I might throw it back, but I haven't yet. All were a joy to discover, especially #1.
