I'm getting huge red text on every page asking me to whitelist CCF as the ads pay the bills, I get it and have had CCF whitelisted, even double checked just now, but I still am getting these messages filling up full screens or more, any idea on how to stop them? I'm using Chrome Version 38.0.2125.122 on Apple OSX 10.6.8 Can't upgrade to any newer versions as my Macbook Pro died and I'm using an older spare I have that is only 32 bit. EDIT - here is what I'm seeing "Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Feldman - "And read it" - Me 2013! Antivirus updates have been known to invoke new Adblocking routines without telling you - might be worth a look.

I'm getting the same thing when I'm using Internet Explorer 11 but not when using Mozilla Firefox. Anybody have good step by step instructions on how to whitelist coin community? Not that tech savvy, I've tried to loosen my IE settings on CCF but with no luck.

Joe, These are steps for my IE: on menu tools, click on internet options then on tab Security, click on Trusted sites, click on Sites it should auto fill the current web site, otherwise key in http://www.coincommunity.com then click add, once there click close and then okay to save the changes

Fuzzy,
Thanks but its still not working. I've added CCF to my trusted sites but the message is still appearing.

You'll have to look at your addons/extensions, something is blocking them.

The weird ads are now gone as of 3/9 I did not change anything. I run no virus protection on this Macbook Pro, I am using Ghostry and (130427) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed. Since they are gone and I changed nothing, I only can assume it had to do with a certain ad CCF had running at the time. Curious if the others that were seeing these also had them go away?
I also must note; I did not see this situation on my desktop PC running W7/64bit Chrome with Ghostry and (130427) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed (all updates were current on browser, extensions, and Chrome). This was only seen on the Macbook Pro. Weird, but apparently fixed now.

Quote: I only can assume it had to do with a certain ad CCF had running at the time. Nope. I added it. It's infuriating to invest 80-100 hours a week in something only to have people block a couple unintrusive ads that help keep the doors open. It's so infuriating that I'm seriously considering completely bouncing people that block ads here. I mean we just spent about $3,000 of our own money to travel over 900 miles to give away coins to kids for 4 days to try and keep this hobby going, but people can't tolerate a few ads to try and support us. It's disgusting to me. Also, hosting is now over 5 times what it was a month ago. Westcoin, it seems you may have just had something quirky going on, like Dave said sometimes software updates change things. Right now, things like this are the only thing keeping me from blocking visitors completely that block our ads. Thank you, to all of you that donate. It's very much appreciated.

FWIW, I use Vipre [a relatively less common AV program] and Abine tracking protection, no other extensions. I trust Vipre's lists (anything I've found that shouldn't be blocked is cleared up in hours). I'm not going to blindly turn off a major feature of the software that keeps me (somewhat) safe on the Internet. Vipre's logs don't show anything blocked. Maybe you can add information to the block line such as which ad network is being blocked so we can try and trace it down. Right now I'm seeing two of the RCM ads, but the other two interstitials are being blocked. When I disable Abine and refresh I see different ads but no blocking message (although despite what goes on around here, you can't ACTUALLY generalize from a sample of one). If your ads are getting blocked that says at least some of the ad network's customers are doing shady things... I'd bet on tracking cookies. I have no problem seeing ads - but I have issues with tracking cookies that follow me around the web... Edit: Turned it back on and the block lines are returning.

Quote: If your ads are getting blocked that says at least some of the ad network's customers are doing shady things Sorry but that's just not true. Most of the common software available just blindly blocks all ads. Some as blindly as just by text strings in the object's location. Sorry. Quote: other two interstitials are being blocked. If you're seeing interstitials here you've got adware on your computer. There are none here.
