This was in a Take one if you need one cent tray on the counter at the coffee shop this morning, I asked the manager if I could trade another one for it and he told he to help myself.

There is some extra thickness in trust and the date, a die break from the UST. I went to coppercoins web site, but gave up trying to compare so figured I just post here and wait for a verdict.

Looks like a nice coin from circulation. But I don't see any doubling from the images. On the date it is common to see master hub doubling on the lower leg areas on 44 in the date. But this is common.

ADDED:
The mark that you see between the letters of RUST is part of a die scratch. If you look closely at that mark you will see that it is raised. Just something I forgot to mention the other time around.

I don't see anything that looks like unusual die doubling. Coop passed along the info on the master hub doubling. I will also add that there is no evidence of a D over S which is usually the first thing I look for on a 1944 D Lincoln.

Nice coin for a freebee:-)

Thank you Coop & Found in Rolls, It was the 44's that I was unsure of, my other 1944'D didn't have the same hub doubling so I wanted to ask.
