Small Mint Mark, Large Mint Mark Halves

i was reading about mint marks in the Red Book from the library walking liberty's and found that what I was looking at was right I bought 3 1929-s walkers and saw a mint marks where different I had two big ones and one small but in the book it only list 1928-s,1934-d and the 1942-s list could their be more than what was listed in the book

ok I got the Red Book from the library I was reading about mint marks in that book..it talked about small die punches and large die punches mint marks...but the Red Book only list 1928-s,,1934-d and 1942-s as small punch and large punch mint marks I had bought 3 1929-s and was looking at them and saw a difference in the size of the mint marks 2 where bigger than the third coin had what appeared to be a smaller mint mark could there be more that the Red Book has not listed in it

Sure, there could be others that are possible. It's fairly safe to say that all possibilities have not yet been discovered.

levi19282, your posts would be a lot easier to read if you broke them up a bit. Your posts are almost all one long paragraph that is one long sentence with no capitalization.

They are extremely difficult to follow as we don't know where one thought stops and another starts. I'm sure it would get you more responses.

The same punches were used on other denominations the same year/s. So check other denominations to see if they show the same thing. Sometimes punches get damaged and retired early and new ones are brought in to replace older ones. The 1946-S show three different types of mint marks for that one year.
