Go to ebay and search "1918 Buffalo nickel full horn" then filter by sold items and sort by "price low to high". You will see SEVERAL examples of this coin in that grade range that sold in that $2-$5 range. It does look like a couple managed to fetch more, but that is not the norm.

I wouldn't necessarily go by a price guide like numismedia or even Red Book really. ebay sales of raw coins almost ALWAYS go for lower than pretty much any listed price guide.

After doing a search on e-bay I was able to find several being sold for around $5 but as with any coin the condition does dictate the price and those are the low grade coins selling for that price.

I saw quite a few full horn examples for that price. Until he posts better pictures, though, it's almost impossible to judge the grade of his.
