I need help grading this.... also , is this a rare double dye? Is it worth anything? Found it in a roll..... help please.

You would definitely need closer and more clear pictures to be able to tell if it is a double die. Another thing to look for is RPM or repunched mint mark. I couldn't tell you if it was any of those without better pictures. As a regular penny without being anything special it is worth about 3 to 5 cents

 It is not the big double d die. It is a Denver mint, the rare one is from the Philadelphia mint. There are only two known. Looks like a circulated coin. Nothing special to grade it for.

The second coin is most definitely not a doubled die, just common Machine Doubling.

I though I read in a post that Machine Doubling (the doubling itself) was towards the outside of the coin, towards the rim. Was this an inaccurate statement ?

Mechanical Doubling can be in any direction. Doubling caused by die wear is usually towards the rim.
