1917-S WLH (Obverse Mintmark) Raw

Slightly tougher date,
This one is a little funky on the reverse, has nice rims though.

-Cut these pre-20 Walkers a little slack when you grade them..
I'm stretching her to an 08, what say you guys?

VG10 to F12. The gunk/toning/discoloration on the backside might be a problem.

I give the pre 1923 coins some slack. A lot of the details that show up on later dated coins were never even struck up on the esrly issues.

I think 08 is stretching it a bit. A G-06 looks about right.

I just picked up one of these recently too. I can't remember what mine grades at, I just remember it to be problem free and cheap, ~$6.50 at my LCS.

You have a generous LCS, $6.50 is almost melt

I think this one may have been stored in a drawer on its reverse and slid around a while the way it's worn on the reverse..
Looks nice in hand though, good color, I don't think this is a problem coin.

VG-8

I'm wondering if a dip in acetone might help the reverse?

Nah, I think it gives it character..

Not sure what acetone would do to nearly a century of finger oils etc..
Organic, right?
Rest in Peace

Well.... it will not hurt it.
