I received an email with Shutterfly's current promotion and it sounded like it would be a great way to either make a customized reference book or showcase a few favorites in hardcover. The offer is a free 20 page 8x8 book.. you can either make that book for free (plus shipping I'm sure) or take 29.95 off something larger. One of those big "coffee table" books would be pretty impressive  Offer ends March 23 - Here's the link: http://www.shutterfly.com/spring_freepb2/I think I'm going to make a quick-reference book with pictures of mechanical vs real doubling for my husband. That's a darn good idea. I don't personally have any excellent reference photos but I bet I could fill 5 or 6 20-page books with all the excellent photos Coop has provided for us.

I ran out of time, jbuck  I'll get the images ready for the next time they run the special and hop on it then. And Celtic, yes indeed - Coop's are the best! They would make an amazing reference book. |

I ended up making one during the promotion. It turning out pretty good. I'll take some pictures and post them when I get a chance.

Nice. Good idea too. Some time back I decided to make a reference book about only coins I like. Always thought getting a book on say Jefferson nickels would be a book full of stuff I had no interest in. The book I've been working on actually is nothing but a 3 ringed binder full of info printed out from this forum. I see a post about, say a 1932 Washington quarter and I print it out. IF there are photos with that post, so much the better. Now it is all in a 4" thick 3 ringed binder and almost full. |
