rcfarmer Valued Member United States 71 Posts	Posted 07/05/2015 5:19 pm Bought it about 4 months ago from a coin shop, with the bicentennial coins and the susan b anthony. Not in perfect shape but not bad either. I have spent the time since trying to come up with the best plan for it. I think I have come up with something that works for me and will make it a family keepsake. I plan to match up each coin with a birth/anniversary/ important date in the family tree. Some dates are tough to match up but am still formulating a plan. For example if I take the in laws anniversary and switch it to year they met I fill the 1964 Kennedy hole. I have got through the late 1800's and have a cousin who is big in genealogy and hopefully will get me the dates I need to fill this baby up! Report this Post to the Staff

moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 07/05/2015 5:36 pm That is an absolutely brilliant idea. I've put mint sets together of our families, back to 1810. My favorite is the birth date of my paternal grandfather in 1897 as I was able to put an NGC set in MS 63 64 65 with all 4 gold and all 3 Barbers. Relating personal and family history within your collection makes it so much more important and enjoyable. Jeez...you might have given me a reason to find my own 7070. Report this Post to the Staff
