I thought I'd share this very attractive 1904 Indian Head cent with a nice "woodie" effect to it. I just received it this week.

The obverse still has some streaks of mint red on it. The reverse is very colorful. Under magnification it looks to have four full diamonds and I can't detect any noticeable wear under all the colors, so it might be mint state.

Wow. That is a high premium coin. The toning plus the woody effect and high grade make this worth a pretty penny. How much you want for it? ;)

I like woodgrains too. I have a couple 2-cent pieces and a South Africa half-penny.

I picked it up on ebay last week for $4.99.

From the photo it looked like a nice coin and it certainly is.

It will most likely end up for sale. Unfortunately, we have had to replace both of our cars in the first two months of 2015 (one to an accident and the other, a 2001 Saturn with 179,000 miles on it, that gave up the ghost), so most of my coin money for the next several years is going to car payments.

You WHAT?

Yeah, I think that one flips for a bit of a profit. It's a shame you're not closer - I'm learning a ton about Saturns by keeping my roommate's car on the road and I'm getting pretty good with them.

I've put the coin up on ebay for $75.00. Not sure if that's too high or too low, but it is a great looking coin.
