I do not have any nickles but I do have some nickels in my type sets. These are the better ones. I have later date Indian heads and Jeffersons but there are plenty of those featured already.

LeeG, that is beautiful. I'm sad I did't know you were selling it. Can I ask what you got for it and was the color like that in hand?

This topic gave me a little much needed shot in the arm to get motivated. As you guys might know me from a couple years back, I swayed a bit from coins for awhile. The US Nickel has always been my favorite. I am terrible at photography tho. My next purchase will have to be a decent camera. But here's a nickel .... go buy yourself an ice cream cone.

cwb .... that is the rev of 1940 not the wavy steps of 1938 and although I am rusty, I think 1940 Jefferson nickels only have var 1 and var 2 in the proof issues. The proof with Rev of 1938 being the much more scarce. I suppose there may be a rare rev of 1938 out there somewhere in the business strike. I don't even know where my books are to verify.
