What an eye nice! How do the dies get so offset for such an extreme clash?

Go to http://www.maddieclashes.com for a complete list of radically misaligned die clashes. Among domestic coins these only occur in cents from 1990 to 2000. There are more than 30 dies/die pairs that show these wildly misaligned clashes.
