More than once I've left the show with nothing in hand.
NOT THIS TIME

1842 Braided Hair Large Cent , Small Date (NGC AU-55 BN)
Last one I need for my Red Book, Braided Hair Large Cent set

1795 Draped Bust Dollar (PCGS VF-30)
This fills one more hole in my Type Set.

Well, if anyone doubted the quality of your eye before, they won't now. Those are both wonderful examples at the grade.

I don't know if I'd take the Dollar over an MS60, but I'd take that Cent 10 times out of 10.

The large cent is awesome. And a small date to boot! The dollar is WAY out of my price range but a glorious coin.

They are both beautiful coins, and just the type that I like.
Congratulations on your new coins!

Kanga- - you're killing me with that 1795 dollar. I just can't imagine going to a coin show and coming home with that coin. Other than the 1895 proof Morgan, the 1795 Draped Bust dollar is a holy grail for me. With expensive coins like these, do dealers prefer a certain form of payment? Just curious. If you don't mind me asking, was there any negotiating? If so, how did it go?

Wow .... both are outstanding coins.

And to think that I came home from the show with two circulated Barber halves.

Well done indeed - thanks for sharing the photos.

Dang, I'm green with envy! I sure wish I had those coins in my collection, nice pick ups! All I picked up today was $77 face of junk silver, some BU though?

I'm so jealous about that dollar. How much did you pay for it?
