One of the (unreliable) diagnostics for the Australian 1923 Half penny is circumferential die cracks. Perhaps more than half of the genuine examples show this feature. There is estimated to only be about 15,000 of them struck, due to die crack difficulties.

The '23 Australian Half Penny in uncirculated would be a $100,000 coin.

Most of the production had to be completed with 1922 dies.
The Canadian One Cent is the same diameter as the Australian Half Penny.

Very, very interesting ..and I had trouble noticing where I was supposed to look. I started at the rim and followed that near denticles indentation around firstly at the top..and then followed the leaf tips around..

...and such a lovely chocolate brown colour and high grade..
