Because most of the time I don't have enough coins to go through, I have decided to try and make the most detailed coin book ever. I just feel like I shouldn't do every coin but instead a certain series of coins or something. Any suggestions?

Well, keep in mind whatever you choose, it'll take about thirty years to learn enough to write a book. That's about the going timeframe for most of the people you'd call peers.

I once wrote a book titled "how to make a small fortune playing poker..."

It was only one page... on the inside it said "Start with a large fortune..."

It did well....

In all seriousness though.. I hope you write a book.. would be great we need more sharing of good knowledge.. I really wish you all the success in the world.. what do you think your topic will be?

Instead of a book, how about a blog? For a web design project in school this year, we created a blog of our choosing using Google's tool Blogger. I chose numismatics, and I think it really turned out well. Blogger is easy to access from any device since it is web-based, and it provides all the tools a text editor like Word, or Libre Office would provide. It also provides minimal analytic tools like tracking page views, etc - and its fully customize-able.

This online-based tool would provide you with an avenue to post your original content, while being able to receive feedback from your active readers through comments and email suggestions. It would also be a great way to showcase individual coins from your collection. About a week ago, I introduced a "Coin of the Week" section into my blog, and I started with one of the most iconic coins in U.S history: the Morgan dollar.

Whatever you decide, I, as well as many from this forum, are in full support of your efforts to further the literature pertaining to the numismatic community.

As a start try making a book about Lincoln Cents. OOOOppps, Already done by some guy on that coppercoins web site.
How about a book, not on coins, but on coin collectors. Everyone, or almost everyone, tries to make a book about coins but not the collectors of coins. At some of the coin shows I go to there is always a table full of books on coins. Never a book about coin collectors.
IF you read enough posts right here you could find lots of info about collectors. Many like to brag about what they do, where they live, who they are, etc. Lots of material for a book. One of the nicer things about such a book is you don't have to tell the truth. Who would know? If you run out of material, just make something up, who would know?
