Love the description of its composition: "Synthesis of silver China Miao silver"

"Miao silver" here means "no silver". Speech sound of "miao" in mandarin means "nothing".

I'd further remark that this seller certainly isn't making his fortune selling these at $2.99 with free shipping. It's actually a pretty accurate looking version. I can't tell for sure whether the edge is reeded or not (if it is, that'd be the obvious visual tip-off that it's bogus).

Fortunately, in this case I'd saved the auction images.

Lucky Cuss I have seen those dies before. There is also an 1893 Mo variety same source. Easy to tell in person a bit harder in a picture unless you are aware that the dentils NEVER end before the edge of the coin.

I believe that the same maker was responsible for the awful looking eagle normally paired with the 1882 Zs IS cap.

Absolutely a giveaway, yes. I was commenting on how well the devices and legends were rendered compared to some of the more crass modern replicas. Do you know what the edge looks like on these?

I have seen three all with a reeded edge but the group I suspect of making these pressure cast copies also can apply a "rolled on edge". The edger they use now has a single die so watch for an engrailed edge with ONE overlap if they chose to up their game.

One final comment - I do find it curious that of the various issues these forgers have put out, all are quite common and therefore present the least opportunity for profit.
