the edge is a little sharp for me to this Grease Filled Die, and its a little too far inside to be coin roller damage. It looks like there is some damage to the surface and the letter E, so I thinking it was knocked off by something, PMD.

That is actually a break on the hub. There were several dies where this happened that year.

It was a marker for the 1936P-1DO-002, but this one isn't from that die, but the same hub created it. It looks like more of the hub has broken off when the die was created from the damaged hub.
