Going through some of my mother's things, I found these two coins in envelope after envelope.

The 1804 is 2/5 inch in diameter and looks to be silver.

1973 is 3/5 inch in diameter.

Have no Idea about them. Don't even know if they are real? If real can you please enlighten me with all information and value (if any)

Thank you so much.

Very sorry, these are not real coins. Only value they have is as curiosities (imitation coins worth a dollar or so at most).

Just4fun

What your first coin looks like is an electrotype,, If you have a RedBook take a look at the write up for these coins ,,its really interesting ,Pg 206

Im not sufficently knowledgeable about these coins to give you a ya or nay if it falls into the mint produced electrotypes or one made much later .

a weight of the coin would be helpful as well as diameter (size).

The JFK coin looks real enough and If I'm see the pictures right it may have been gold plated ?

if the diameters are right, these are tiny

2/5 inch = 10.16 mm, real Half Dimes are 16mm, dimes are 19mm

3/5 inch = 15.24 mm, real Kennedy half dollars are 30mm

Im not sure what those diameters are that are in the original post .

Im probably the one who is messed up ,,I took the 1804 to be a dollar coin ,,not the Half Dime ?

at any rate They are more than likely copies ,,but there is not enough info in the original post to be positive .
