So a few years ago I was really into roll hunting (that was all I could afford at the time)and I found this in a roll of nickels. I came across it the other day and I have a few questions. 1) is it Full Steps? 2) which reverse is it? and 3) what would you grade it? Hopefully I put this in the right forum
Thanks all

Well. I don't know much about the coin but that is amazing. Definitely FS. Wow.

It looks like the reverse of 1940. From your pictures, it is a little hard to tell the luster of the coin. Any chance you can take another picture?

True that - even 66FS from Philly doesn't justify slabbing. This one's about 65, I think.

1. It looks to be Full Steps, a close-up photo would help determine it better.
2. Type 2 (Reverse of 1940).
3. MS-65. I think the small rim nicks on the reverse and some light spotting would hold it back from reaching MS-66.

I hope I could help a little. And by the way, what a great find!

Lovely coin ... wish I had found it in a roll.

MSFS for sure ... but not MS66 or above IMHO.

Interesting everyone is calling it full steps but to me it clearly looks like the bottom to steps are merged from column 2 to 3 and there is also merging at the left side under column 1.
