Difficult to say, looking at the bronze coins, horribly over cleaned. Vespasian/Providen is nice. The Allectus Galley usually goes for a reasonable price. You have 3 Carausius which go well on ebay. If Ben comes along, I would like to see what he says about No 27. You might get a few quid for the Marc Antony denarius. A dealer is not going to give you much as it is in pretty bad condition. Number 9 is not Antoninus Pius. Well it is, but there were three that used that name. The other two are known by their nicknames, Elagabalus and Caracalla. Not sure which of the latter two this is. I don't see anything that is going to pay off the mortgage. A lot of the value went west along with the patina when they were cleaned. There are about 4 or 5 I would be happy to have, but I wouldn't pay top dollar for any. I don't see a coin No 1.

While they are a nice group of coins, there really isn't anything there of any significant value. I would say that the Ptolemy is worth the most.

Thanks for the input so far guys... I should've mentioned roman/ancients is not my forte so all attributions were cobbled from a few helpful websites and a few ebooks I got a while back. I didn't think there'd be much WOW factor, being that this is the dregs of her collection. (She sold off her good stuff early on I think... not even telling me when her 'pieces of 8' 8 Reales were for sale :( ) As for Number 1..... 3.2g, 16.4mm it was discussed when I first got the coins but still remains somewhat a mystery of sorts. ( https://goccf.com/t/173815 ) I'm actually getting a %age for selling these for my gran (there's pre47 and pre20 silver stuff, plus early coppers etc as well) and because we know the dealer who'll be giving us a price, I've asked for separate prices for the above coins, mainly so I can pick and choose what to 'buy' with my commission... (2,8,10,14,15 & 22 being my faves)

They all appear have the same surface texture. They all seem to have been cleaned with a brass brush.

The best (In my opinion, not necessarily market value) are the Carausii and the Allectus. As said, the galley should fetch a good price, £15-20.
The Carausii are interesting. Two are PAX, 27 is of some interest as its a nice variant mintmark (MCXXI - Mint of Camulodunum, then either value or finess of the silver (1/21)). The really interesting one is the FIDES MILITVM, RIC V-2 London 33, rated R2 (Rare) - not an easy design to find for Carausius. The market goes all over the place for Carausius, so I cant say anything as to value, but dont accept less than £10 for it.

Awesome Thanks guys. I may end up going the ebay route with them.. depends on what is offered... but I DO have a soft spot for ancients so the ones I numbered above will probably stay with me. Oh I suppose I should mention the lighting and ancient camera are playing havoc with the toning of the coins) (Incidentally is 22 a Probus Tetradrachm ? I have a similar one that I have written down as that.. Dunno Why but I love these dumpy coins!) Here's the rest of her romans... (Also if anyone wants a browse, I've uploaded my personal ancients collection on photobucket http://s830.photobucket.com/user/FA...ort=9&page=1#23 is more than likely fake, #114 is certainly fake (no pellet below mars) & #137 is a fake based on weight and casting seam. nothing after #145 is identified, most of the rest is, even though half will have been by me LOL)

The last five coins of your photobucket are brass branch cast "Felus" from Morocco, are genuine but modern (about 1.840 A.D.)

Coin "a" is Valentinianus, Coin "b" is Victorinus, and coin "C" is Julian II "the aposthate" as caesar under Constantius II (who killed his father, his brother and a lot of his relatives...)

Coin 'O' is a barbarous minim from one of the most active tribes - they issued in good style and usually use the mintmark of GSLG.
