GO Moderator United States 6563 Posts	Posted 12/05/2007 10:26 am Sniping is easy and quick. It's not illegal nor inappropriate. If I bid $101.76 on an item 5 days before the auctions end then someone will just keep making small bids until they surpass my Max. If I make that same bid 5 seconds before the end of the auction then no one else sees my bid. If they wanted it they certainly had the option of placing their own max bid. If they loose it's not because I bid late...it's because they didn't really bid what they were truly willing to pay. Report this Post to the Staff

Bidding with 2 seconds left robs people of the ability to second guess their bids, thereby keeping costs down. Check out https://www.Cnet.com for some good options. skelly423 Valued Member Canada 187 Posts	Posted 12/09/2007 8:09 pm I use auctionsniper.com. It's 25 cents a snipe, and only charges you if you win. It's saved me a ton of money. On the flip side, I don't mind sniper programs as a seller either, I've had coins double in price in the last 10 seconds of the auction. Nobody seems to make a serious bid before the last minute of the auction anyway Report this Post to the Staff
