I found this in one of the recent Heritage auctions, and just couldn't resist her. NGC ms63, in a very early ngc 'fatty' slab. Whatcha' guys think? Image: stdinglibobv.jpg69.04 KB Image: stdinglibrev.jpg52.23 KB Edited by hadleydog 12/04/2007 10:54 pm

Very nice toning around the rim, it bring out the center device of the coin. Great coin to have, but I don't know if I have the money.... do you mind tell me how much you paid for it? Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the kind comments, folks! This is a tough series to find with attractive toning, and I feel very fortunate to have found her. I also believe the coin is undergraded (gotta love those ancient ngc holders) and will see about the FH when I receive the coin. Bruce, I paid just under $200 (no premium for the toning at all).

The SLQ is one of the most beautiful designs in US coinage I think. You have a Beaut' there. Tony

I have 15 to 20 SLQ's. However I have none of this high grade. It's a great addition to your collection!

Really nice coin. Just imagine way, way back when I was a kid those were in change all the time.
