15/20. The O looks like it's into the device, is that normal? Nice original coin.

It might make VF-20 IMO. The wear is even so it's got that going for it. It may have taken a cleaning.

I noticed the mint mark looked a little strange too but didn't think much of it until now. Anyone else know what's going on with it?

VF20 also. It looks like some pitting to the right of the leg

Obverse looks VF-20 to me, but the reverse is appreciatively better, the eagle is actually really nice. I know the obverse is supposed to be the arbiter, but I wouldn't have a problem with this coin being given a composite grade of VF25.
Mintmarks were, of course, punched by hand and this one is very high and as somebody already pointed out impinging on the device. That may ratchet its "cool' factor (if not its value) up a notch.

Great news on the consensus. I bought it for 50 bucks, as the LCS had it pegged at VG8. I actually said something to him about him possibly having it under graded and he didn't even look at it and said no its 50 bucks. So I took it

There is obverse pitting and scratches, which would net it down to VG.

Quote: Anyone else know what's going on with it? First, it is really difficult to try and evaluate coin images sideways. I had to capture them and rotate them here to do any thinking about them. This is WB-102. I saw a couple with that mint mark location in my research; the WB-102 obverse die was paired with three reverses. Note the missing drapery below the elbow, and the lines between the legs. Both are the result of what must have been an amazing clash early in the life of the die.

I'm not so quick to label this a problem coin. I would love to examine it in hand. F15 conservatively here.
