Complete novice to coins. What is most sensible option with these?

1) Spend them/Bank them
2) Flog on ebay (not withstanding eBay/PayPal commission) for more than $0.5 each
3) Hold on to them, and see what happens in 20 years time, should I live that long
4) Crazy one - send for grading/slabbing

Looks like the ender is circulated. I would crack it open. I don't think it is solid 88. Pretty much the only way to tell is to crack it open.

It would be hard to tell if it's a solid 1988-D roll without cracking it open. Even if it was, unfortunately its a common year. Even if you did have a roll full of BU beauties it would be some work to sell them all at a premium. Probably not worth sending them off to slabbing companies. It does look like an old roll from the aged wrapping though so I would be more interested to see if that roll contained any silver at all. Definite possibility.

ok.cracked the two rolls open, and you were absolutely right. Standard circulated coins. Did find one of these, though...

Any time you can find ANY silver in a roll these days, it's a good thing.
