My son sent me a coin he purchased off ebay for me that I cant find a reference for, it is a 1901 Edward VII brass pattern coin? I am not familiar with this type - anyone have info on it to share is most welcome.

Never heard of an Edward Pattern coin.
Maybe some sort of medallion?

Without viewing a picture, I would hazard a guess that it may be a model coin, gaming chip or a replica sovereign. Either way, not of very great value.

It is highly likely to be one of a series of fantasy coins minted in the 80s. I forgot which mint did them. Pobjoy?

Heritage is (surprisingly) selling a group of these shortly.

These are normally worth around $25 to $50
